Babylon celebrated the Christmas holiday and end-fo-year events with much revelry in 2009. As December began, the decorations – both inside and outside gradually transformed the facility into a stunning feast for the eyes, the highlight being the new set of holidays lanterns that bathed the restaurant, court yard and pool in a sea of light. Our resident entertainment director, Khun Bat, coordinated a fabulous “Best of the Best” party, inviting performers from all of the major gay clubs and bars around the city to perform for us. Christmas Eve and Christmas Day witnessed two amazing shows featuring no fewer than 120 musicians, singers, dancers, and models who entertained a crowd of more than 1200 guests and patrons from far and wide with cabaret, show time, and even a fashion show featuring some drop-dead shirtless hunks sporting sexy underwear. A delicious holiday menu as well as complimentary snacks, alcoholic beverages, beer, and mull wine helped maintain the festive mood. Santa had even swung by to leave gifts for our guests in every locker! Not to be outdone, our New Year’s Eve party turned out to be the highlight of the year when, under the stars and even a full moon, guests danced the night away to the music of DJs M and Leslie, at our biggest and final foam party of the year.
